The Game and YG Reunite for New Single ‘Red People’ Ahead of VERZUZ Showdown

West Coast rap stars The Game and YG have teamed up for a brand-new single titled “Red People”, building anticipation ahead of their highly anticipated “Compton Forever” VERZUZ battle.

The track, produced by Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Buci Beats, Avery Chambliss, Sela Vave, and Treyvonce Moore, sees the two rappers celebrate their shared roots and long-standing influence on the Los Angeles hip-hop scene.

The song’s title is a play on the famous line from the 1999 film The Sixth Sense, replacing “I see dead people” with “I see red people” as a reference to their affiliations and hometown culture.

Throughout the track, both artists deliver verses that reflect their personal backgrounds and experiences, staying true to the style that has defined their music careers.

The release comes just days before The Game and YG face off in the “Compton Forever” VERZUZ event, which will stream live from Apple Music Studios in Los Angeles.

The showdown celebrates two of Compton’s biggest hip-hop names, with fans expected to relive some of the artists’ biggest hits as they go head-to-head in the popular music battle series.

To mark the occasion, Complex has also released a special edition cover featuring both rappers and compiled a list of their greatest songs ahead of the event.
