What’s Coming To M-Net, Mzansi Magic And kykNET This October

October is bringing a fresh line-up of local originals, returning favourites and international series to M-Net, Mzansi Magic and kykNET.

Among the month’s highlights are the new M-Net drama Invisible, the return of Spinners, a new dating reality show on Mzansi Magic and a new documentary series celebrating Afrikaans memories and history.

Invisible Brings Crime Drama To M-Net

M-Net’s new original drama Invisible premieres on 14 October at 20:00.

Based on Deon Meyer’s bestselling Blood Safari, the series follows Emma Le Roux after she returns home following a call from her long-lost brother. She and bodyguard Martin Dekker soon become caught up in a dangerous world involving poaching, corruption and family secrets.

The series stars Kim Engelbrecht, Tumisho Masha, Frank Rautenbach, Abbie Cornish and Dougray Scott, among others.

Spinners Returns

The second season of Spinners arrives on Mzansi Magic from 25 October at 20:00.

The new season follows the Underdogs as their spinning ambitions in Johannesburg face fresh challenges, with Ethan’s past and a dangerous rivalry threatening their plans.

Brendon Daniels, Cantona James, Chelsea Thomas and Dillon Windvogel are among the returning cast.

More New Shows To Watch

Mzansi Magic will also introduce VIP Lounge on 2 October, giving viewers behind-the-scenes access to celebrities, events and popular local shows.

Elevator Love, hosted by Pamela Mtanga, premieres on 18 October, putting singles through a dating experiment where they have just one elevator ride to make an impression.

On kykNET, Daar was ‘n Tyd premieres on 14 October, taking viewers through memories, people and experiences that have shaped Afrikaans communities over the decades.

International highlights on M-Net include the fifth and final season of Hacks, the return of Power Book IV: Force, The Fortune Hotel Season 2 and the new documentary The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist.

With drama, reality, documentaries and lifestyle programming across the three channels, October offers plenty of new viewing options for South African audiences.
