The New York Knicks are marking their long-awaited NBA championship with a spectacular piece of jewellery designed to capture the team’s historic title run.
The franchise unveiled its custom championship ring, created by luxury jeweller Jason of Beverly Hills, at Madison Square Garden ahead of its Opening Night game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, October 20.
The ring celebrates the Knicks’ first NBA championship in 53 years, while paying tribute to their iconic home, Madison Square Garden.
Nearly 800 Diamonds And Sapphires
Crafted from white gold by the jeweller’s in-house artisans and engineers, the ring features nearly 800 diamonds and sapphires, weighing a combined 22 carats.
Round brilliant and emerald-cut white diamonds are paired with blue sapphires in a design inspired by the Knicks’ signature colours.
One of its most striking features is a moving mechanism that raises a miniature recreation of Madison Square Garden’s exterior when the ring is turned.
The ring also twists open to reveal a detailed model of the arena’s lower bowl, while the underside of its removable top recreates the Garden’s distinctive ceiling design.
Jason of Beverly Hills founder and CEO Jason Arasheben said the team wanted to create something that matched the significance of the Knicks’ championship and the passion of their supporters.

Fans will also have an opportunity to own a piece of the championship celebration through the Knicks Championship Fan Program.
The Knicks Premier Championship Ring is limited to just 200 pieces and costs $19,995, which is approximately R328,000.
The limited-edition piece adds a luxury collectible to the celebrations surrounding one of the most significant moments in the Knicks’ history.
