Mercury Prize and BRIT Award-winning UK jazz collective Ezra Collective have released their new single and music video, “Jubilee Feeling”, ahead of their upcoming album Here Because of Hope, arriving on 11 September 2026.
Led by drummer Femi Koleoso, the London five-piece have built a reputation for blending jazz with Afrobeat, hip-hop, soul and UK dance music.
“Jubilee Feeling” draws on the energy of 2010s Funky House while celebrating London’s Black musical culture, with Joe Armon-Jones’ energetic piano at the centre of the track.
For Koleoso, the idea of Jubilee represents celebration, freedom and fresh beginnings.
The accompanying video, directed by Ebeneza Blanche, takes inspiration from early-2000s British nightlife and rave culture, pairing the band’s jazz sound with the unpredictable energy of a night out in London.
The release follows Ezra Collective’s debut appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival Franschhoek, where they brought their high-energy performance to South African audiences.
Their forthcoming album explores the journey of Black music from West Africa through the Caribbean and into Britain, highlighting how these sounds have travelled, evolved and shaped generations.
