Huawei has unveiled a new range of smartwatches, smartphones, tablets and audio devices at its “Chase the Wild” global launch event in Munich, Germany.
The latest portfolio is built around health, outdoor activities, creativity and smarter everyday experiences, with the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series taking centre stage.
HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series Leads The launch
The new HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 is available in 46mm and 41mm sizes, while the GT 7 Pro features a nano-tech ceramic bezel and titanium alloy middle frame.
The series introduces new outdoor and cycling features, including wrist-based turn detection, G-Force detection, route planning and slope alerts. AI-powered cycling insights will also be added through a future software update.
Huawei has upgraded its health features with Physical Readiness scoring and smarter Health Insights, designed to provide users with more personalised wellness information.
South Africans can purchase the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series from the Huawei Online Store from 3 September, with wider retail availability starting on 7 September.

More Huawei Devices Unveiled
Huawei also brought back its HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series to Europe, offering advanced workout tracking, AI-powered exercise analysis and health monitoring features.
The company introduced the HUAWEI WATCH D3, a next-generation blood pressure monitoring smartwatch that supports blood pressure measurements before and after exercise.
For productivity and creativity, Huawei launched the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12-inch, measuring just 4.7mm thick and weighing 454g. It features a flexible OLED PaperMatte Display alongside AI-powered handwriting and speech-to-text tools.
The company also unveiled the HUAWEI FreeBuds Neo Series and the HUAWEI nova 16s series, which places a strong focus on portrait photography.

Huawei Doubles Down On Creativity
The launch also marked the global opening of Huawei’s GoPaint contest, which introduces a new Easy Creation category aimed at encouraging more people to explore digital art.
With its latest portfolio, Huawei is positioning its devices as connected tools for health, sport, creativity and everyday life, while expanding its push into next-generation consumer technology.
