British nail brand Nailberry has launched BioGlow, a new LED-curing manicure system designed to give users a salon-style finish at home.
The brand’s first LED system uses a hybrid formula that cures under LED light to create a hard, high-shine finish without being a traditional gel polish. BioGlow is 65% naturally derived, bio-sourced and vegan, while also being free from TPO, HEMA and other monomers.
The launch comes as regulations around certain nail-polish ingredients continue to change, particularly in the UK and European Union.
Designed With Nail Health In Mind
Nailberry founder Sonia Hully launched the brand in 2012 after seeing the effects of repeated gel and acrylic treatments on clients’ nails.
BioGlow continues that focus, offering an alternative for consumers who want longer-lasting manicures without using a traditional gel system.
The Starter Set includes a primer, base coat, top coat, three shades — Candyfloss, Noirberry and Pop My Berry — as well as a 48W LED lamp, nail file, clips and acetone-free remover.
Nailberry says the manicure can last 12 days or more.
The LED lamp uses quartz glass, which the company says helps speed up curing while reducing heat build-up during application.
BioGlow is currently available through Nailberry, with individual products starting at £22 (about R500). The brand is shipping to the UK and US.
