Two South African lottery players have come forward to claim more than R24.8 million in previously unclaimed National Lottery prizes.
The biggest win was a R23,555,348.50 Lotto jackpot from the 13 June 2026 draw, followed by a R1,332,944.90 Lotto 5 Max prize from 29 July.
The R23.5 million ticket was purchased through the Absa banking platform and was the first Lotto jackpot won after Sizekhaya Holdings took over National Lottery operations on 1 June.
According to Sizekhaya, the winner was experiencing financial difficulties and initially struggled to believe that he had won. The prize is expected to provide significant financial relief for him and his family.
The second winner claimed a Division 2 Lotto 5 Max prize from draw 2667.
Players Urged To Check Old Tickets
Sizekhaya is urging players to check their tickets regularly, including tickets from previous draws.
National Lottery prizes must be claimed within 365 days of the draw date, meaning unclaimed winnings can eventually expire.
The operator said it also provides winners with access to professional counselling and financial guidance to help them manage their winnings.
