Jordan Brand is preparing to release a new Air Jordan 9 inspired by NFL legend Randy Moss and his first signature sneaker.
The upcoming “Super Freak” Air Jordan 9, identified by the style code JK1415-100, draws inspiration from Moss’ Super Freak signature shoe released in 2000.
Leaked images shared by sneaker account @Sniperkicks123 show the sneaker dressed in white, black and purple, reflecting the colours of the Minnesota Vikings, the team Moss played for when his original signature shoe was released.
The design also features “Twenty3” branding on the tongue, matching a detail found on the original Super Freak.
According to @zSneakerheadz, the new Air Jordan 9 is expected to launch on 13 February 2027, coinciding with Super Bowl LXI.
The sneakers are expected to retail for $215, which is approximately R3,600.
The release will add another chapter to Jordan Brand’s ongoing connection with basketball and football culture, while paying tribute to one of the NFL’s most recognisable wide receivers.
