LDV South Africa Named Official Transport Partner for Ride4Hope

LDV South Africa has partnered with Ride4Hope as its official transport sponsor, providing a fleet of vehicles to support the organisation’s community outreach and fundraising initiatives over the next year.

The partnership was announced during the launch of the 2026 Nelson Mandela Legacy Ride4Hope in Johannesburg. Running from May 2026 to May 2027, the agreement will see LDV supply vehicles to transport participants, support teams, equipment and event personnel during key Ride4Hope activations.

Ride4Hope, a non-profit organisation established in 2018 and mandated by the Nelson Mandela Foundation, uses cycling to raise funds for education and community development projects, including the #Classrooms4Hope initiative.

This year’s Legacy Ride4Hope Tour will take place from 2 to 5 September, marking the first time the event begins outside South Africa. Cyclists will travel from Maputo, Mozambique, to the Nelson Mandela Capture Site in KwaZulu-Natal, stopping at beneficiary schools and community projects along the way.

LDV South Africa CEO Gerhard Moolman said supporting the initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to giving back to communities, while Ride4Hope Event Director Luthando Kaka said the partnership would strengthen the organisation’s ability to deliver meaningful impact.

Over the years, the Legacy Ride4Hope has helped fund classroom construction, computer labs and improvements to educational facilities at under-resourced schools, with this year’s tour expected to continue driving support for education-focused initiatives across the region.
