Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are preparing to spend an extended period in the United Kingdom with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
According to People, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning the return six years after moving to the United States amid intense media attention and tensions within the royal family.
The couple reportedly intends for Archie and Lilibet to begin attending school in the UK next month, marking a significant change for the family.
Family reunion with King Charles
The move follows a recent UK visit during which Harry and Meghan brought their children to Britain. Archie and Lilibet reportedly reunited with their grandfather, King Charles, for the first time in four years.
Charles is understood to have been aware that Harry and Meghan would not resume their official royal duties as part of their return.
Where the family will live during their extended stay remains unclear.
Could Harry and William reconcile?
Harry’s return could also reignite speculation about his relationship with his brother, Prince William.
Relations between the brothers have remained strained, with Harry making serious claims about their relationship in his memoir Spare. A longer stay in Britain could potentially create opportunities for the family to rebuild ties, although there has been no confirmation of a reconciliation.
Despite the planned UK stay, Harry and Meghan are expected to retain their Montecito, California home, as well as their holiday property in Portugal.
The move represents a notable new chapter for the Sussexes as they balance their life in the US with closer family ties in Britain.
