IntelliSense.io Secures Investment To Expand AI Technology In Mining

Mining technology company IntelliSense.io has secured a significant investment from enterprise technology investor SEP, alongside strategic investments from Mitsubishi Corporation and Hitachi Construction Machinery.

The funding will support product development, international expansion and the scaling of IntelliSense.io’s go-to-market operations.

The company provides AI-powered decision intelligence designed to help mining and minerals processing companies improve operational performance in real time.

AI-Driven Mining Optimisation

IntelliSense.io’s platform combines mining process data with physical operating constraints to identify and automate optimisation opportunities.

Its technology is used across areas including material tracking, stockpile management, grinding, flotation, leaching and thickening.

According to the company, fully deployed systems have delivered results including up to a 5% increase in throughput, 2% improvement in recovery and an 8% reduction in reagent consumption.

The platform is currently deployed across more than 24 operations in eight countries, covering more than eight commodities and several Tier 1 mining companies.

Mining Leaders Join Advisory Board

The investment also brings several prominent mining executives into IntelliSense.io’s strategic advisory board.

Former Anglo American CEO Mark Cutifani, former Glencore Copper and Zinc Marketing co-head Nick Popovic, and former Fortescue Metals Group CEO Nev Power have each invested in the company.

They will join representatives from SEP, Mitsubishi Corporation and Hitachi Construction Machinery.

IntelliSense.io founder and CEO Sam G Bose said the investment will help the company take its technology into major mining regions worldwide.

The deal comes as mining companies increasingly turn to AI and automation to improve productivity, reduce costs and respond to growing demand for critical minerals.
