Lil Wayne’s Iconic Da Drought Mixtape Series Lands on Apple Music

Lil Wayne’s celebrated Da Drought mixtape trilogy has officially arrived on Apple Music, marking the first time Da Drought, Da Drought 2, and Da Drought 3 are available to stream on the platform.

The releases join a growing list of the rapper’s classic mixtapes that have been brought to major streaming services in recent years, including No Ceilings and Sorry 4 The Wait.

The move comes just weeks after Lil Wayne dropped his latest album, Tha Carter VI, in June. The star-studded project features appearances from Big Sean, Machine Gun Kelly, 2 Chainz, Bono of U2, Kodak Black, Jelly Roll, Mannie Fresh, and more. In the lead-up to its release, Wayne shared an AI-generated video that stitched together all Tha Carter album covers alongside snippets of some of his most famous tracks, including “Go DJ,” “Hustler Musik,” “A Milli,” “6 Foot 7 Foot,” and “Uproar.” The visual also teased “Mountains,” a track featured on the new LP.

Wayne launched his Tha Carter VI Tour on the same day the album dropped, headlining New York’s Madison Square Garden for the first time. The 34-city North American run includes stops in Atlanta, Toronto, Los Angeles, and more, before concluding on October 2 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Select shows feature support from Tyga, Belly Gang Kushington, and NoCap.

Fans can also look forward to a special reunion: on September 22 in Oklahoma City, Lil Wayne will perform with the Hot Boys for one night only, marking a rare return of the legendary hip-hop group.
