Award-winning Afro-soul singer Maleh is set to captivate audiences this weekend as she headlines Jazz at Jozi Gold, continuing Braamfontein’s long-standing tradition of showcasing South Africa’s finest jazz and soul performers.
The live performance will take place on Saturday, 1 August, at the Jozi Gold Brewing Company, where weekly jazz sessions have become a popular fixture for music lovers seeking intimate live entertainment.
Born in Lesotho, Maleh first rose to prominence as a member of the acclaimed group Kaya before establishing herself as a successful solo artist.
Known for blending Basotho musical traditions with jazz, Afro-soul and contemporary African sounds, she has earned widespread recognition for her powerful vocals and emotionally rich performances.
Her live shows are celebrated for creating meaningful connections with audiences through themes of faith, identity and personal resilience.
Maleh’s latest album, Dithapelo (“Prayers”), represents one of the most personal projects of her career.
Influenced by her journey of healing and spiritual renewal, the Afro-gospel-inspired album explores hope, restoration and perseverance. Since its release, the project has attracted hundreds of thousands of streams and has become the centrepiece of her live performances.
Throughout her career, Maleh has received several prestigious accolades, including a South African Music Award (SAMA) for Best African Adult Album and a Metro FM Award for Best Newcomer during her time with Kaya.
