Supreme Brings Back Nike’s Air Max 2001 Ecstasy for New Collaboration

Supreme is reaching into Nike’s archives for its latest collaboration, bringing back an unexpected early-2000s silhouette for its Fall/Winter 2026 collection.

The New York streetwear giant revealed its new 2026 Fall/Winter lookbook, offering the first look at the upcoming Supreme x Nike Air Max 2001 Ecstasy.

The collaboration gives the retro runner a bold makeover, featuring a red mesh upper, Supreme branding integrated into the overlays and a striking yellow Max Air-cushioned midsole.

A rare Nike comeback

Originally launched in 2001, the Air Max 2001 Ecstasy was designed as a performance running shoe and formed part of Nike’s experimental Alpha Project.

The Supreme collaboration marks the first retro release of the Air Max 2001 Ecstasy, bringing a relatively overlooked Nike silhouette back into the spotlight.

Nike is also expected to release standard Air Max 2000 colourways, another early-2000s model that shares some of the Ecstasy’s design DNA.

Despite the first official look, Supreme and Nike have not yet announced a release date for the Air Max 2001 Ecstasy collaboration.

Given Supreme’s ability to turn archive silhouettes into streetwear collectibles, the unexpected return could make the obscure Nike runner one of the more talked-about sneaker releases of the season.
