The “Sugar Honey Iced Tea” rapper didn’t beat around the bush during a recent encounter with TMZ on Monday (Sept. 29), casually announcing she was headed to dinner with none other than her husband — 21 Savage — in New York City.
When a curious photographer asked if she was tired of questions about her “you-know-who,” Latto politely shot down the idea before enthusiastically declaring, “My man, my man, my man, my man.”
Fans have been buzzing about this duo since December 2020, but both stars kept their relationship mostly under wraps. Back in March 2022, Latto dropped her single “Wheelie” featuring 21 Savage, riding the wave of her chart-smashing hit “Big Energy.” Yet, Savage played coy, telling Clubhouse listeners later that year, “I don’t got a celebrity girlfriend,” adding fuel to the mystery fire.
The romance rumors went into overdrive when eagle-eyed fans spotted a tattoo behind Latto’s ear that seemed to say “Shéyaa,” a nod to 21 Savage’s real name, Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph. Things got even spicier in May 2023 when Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee posted a photo of the tattoo but was quickly asked by Latto’s team to take it down — which he refused, suspecting the drama might be tied to Savage’s rumored marital status amid an immigration case.
Still, Latto kept her lips mostly sealed, telling Apple Music’s Ebro Darden in August 2024, “The internet don’t know a got-damn thing. Let’s start there… It ain’t really nobody’s business. Like, listen to the music and you’ll know what you need to know.”
