Mzansi Magic is adding a new lifestyle show to its programming lineup with the launch of VIP Lounge, a magazine-style series celebrating South African entertainment, fashion, culture and celebrity life.
The show premieres on Friday, 2 October 2026, at 21:00 on DStv Channel 161.
Hosted by Zulu Mkhathini and Pamela Mtanga, VIP Lounge will explore the people and stories shaping contemporary Mzansi, with coverage spanning television, film, music, fashion, art, culture and lifestyle.
The show will give viewers behind-the-scenes access to television productions and events, while also featuring interviews with entertainers, musicians, designers and other personalities.
Viewers can also expect fashion and trend segments, celebrity home visits and coverage from some of the country’s major entertainment events.
For Mkhathini, the show provides an opportunity to celebrate Black South African talent while returning to a television format he describes as nostalgic with a modern twist.
Mtanga, who is returning to television after several years away, said she was drawn to the show’s focus on current South African culture and entertainment.
VIP Lounge is produced by Homebrew Films and is an advertiser-funded production supported by Rémy Martin, Glenfiddich and Sportingbet.
The new show joins Mzansi Magic’s entertainment offering as the channel continues to spotlight local personalities, culture and the stories behind the country’s entertainment industry.
